Lauren Cilfone

Lauren is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a background in weight loss and functional medicine.

Lauren attended the University of Vermont where she worked towards her bachelor's in nursing. She furthered her education by completing her family nurse practitioner training at George Washington University. She has received additional training through The School of Applied Functional Medicine.

Lauren enjoys working with patients on conditions like insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, autoimmunity, and thyroid disease. She is also interested in the area of hormone balancing, epigenetics, neuroinflammation, and gut health.

Lauren started her career as a medical-surgical registered nurse where she witnessed the debilitating impact of chronic illnesses on patients. This role and her experience in obesity medicine have ignited her passion for helping patients heal using lifestyle, nutrition, and functional medicine concepts.

Lauren strongly believes in the body's resilience and ability to heal given the right tools. She is passionate about partnering with patients on their wellness journey to uncover and address the root cause of their symptoms. She strives to empower individuals to overcome health challenges and achieve optimal wellness.

When Lauren is not working, she enjoys being active through hiking and fitness. She also enjoys reading and going to farmers' markets during her downtime.
